PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS:
The National Weather Service Training Center provides technical and professional training to meteorologists, hydrologists, electronic technicians, and other personnel. The Aviation Weather center provides warnings, forecasts, and computational analysis of hazardous weather to enhance safety for domestic and international air travel.
Both entities provide training and services vital to the nation's security and were co-located in this 100,000 square foot facility, providing significant economies and efficiencies. The facility includes headquarters space, an auditorium, classrooms, and Class A office space. Since both tenants require a continuous operation, the facility includes redundant electrical systems supported by three separate generators and UPS systems.
